Comment: When reading this I realized this is exactly how our culture/society works. We do not try to figure out what works well in terms of living, we try to figure out what new inventions we can add into our lives. We will spend generation after generation looking to find the new "most important item" to later realize it will become outdated. If we keep living like we are now, we will have advanced technology, but we will never have an advanced society.
Question: When will we learn that the "uncivilized" hold all the answers that matter?
